In 2007, the Organic Growers Group became an Incorporated Society, and renamed as the NZ Organic Avocado Growers Incorporated. .

In November 2006 NZOAG  had 30 members with 24 having some level of certified status. This number increased to 49 members with 29 within certification in January 2008. As of March 2009 there were 69 members with 37 having some level of certified status.
